Don’t be afraid to ask “Are you OK?”

At lunch time, on the way back from a walk along the frosty riverbank near my house I popped into to see my Mum and Dad. I peered in the front window first to see if they were in before going to the back door (which is the normal way in).

About 30 seconds later a neighbour came running down the side of the house to ask me if everything was ok.

Her husband had seen someone (me of course, wrapped up with a hat on) peering in the window and she was coming over to make sure it was nothing suspicious.

It was heartening to see that despite everything going on in the world there is still some goodness out there.

It’s never a bad time to check on people in work (or anywhere really!) to make sure they are ok.

In this current climate many people are finding things harder and harder and you never know that a simple “are you ok, do you want to talk” could literally be the one thing they are desperate for.
