The other day a big bumble bee flew into my office through the open window. It did some exploring, meandered around a little then left very clearly knowing how it got in and how to get out. Despite its size, and shape I was amazed how nimble (dare I use the word “agile”) it was.
A short time later a fly came in at high speed and spent 15 minutes at bouncing all over the room and repeatedly trying to fly through a solid pane of glass when the window was open next to it.
In digital transformation you can still go at speed, but taking the time to observe the surroundings, get a measure of where everything is and apply a calm and methodical approach to deliver much better outcomes.
