My brother in law shared on the family WhatsApp that one of our nephews got a 2:1 in his degree, in a subject he loves. Cue the celebrations!!
24 years ago, I got my results (2:2) through for a degree I didn’t enjoy with the warning at the start that with anything less than a 2:1 you’d never get anywhere in the medical sciences industry.
I “lucked” into IT and 23 years later I’m still here, enjoying contracting and running my own business with a small but growing client base.
My message to anyone receiving their exam results that are not what they hoped.
⭐ Don’t let a number define you. Yes, it helps to get a great mark but there are so many options if you don’t get what you hope for.
⭐ Network Network Network!! Take every chance to meet people, learn how things work.
⭐ Don’t give up. The opportunities to innovate, the technology available, the digital channels to engage have never been better and will continue to grow and develop.
