One of our clients is Sport For All Centres.
They are one of the premier provides of basketball and netball facilities in the North West, operating 4 sports centres and running leagues for basketball and netball with thousands of players enjoying the sport weekly.
I’ve known Dave Bonwick, the general manager for many years and a number of years ago after an awful experience getting a new website built with an agency I built a new website for them and traffic has been growing steadily over the years.
Dave approached me a few months ago with a challenge!
The coordination and management of leagues and fixtures was all managed through spreadsheets with information to players communicated via Google Docs accessed via the website.
The management and in particular tracking revenue from league registrations and fixtures had reached a point where it was unsustainable and impacting growth and profitability.
Having understood the scope of what was needed, we reviewed dozens of potential solutions to see what could fit that matched the operational model and reduced a lot of the manual work to manage leagues and fixtures.
Dave and I had multiple meetings with Spawtz, a sports software company who provide a SaaS based system that helps clubs and centres manage programs and worked through all of the functional and non functional needs that we had, ensuring the solution was going to deliver the value needed from the investment.
The platform allows users to register their team and have the team members sign up. Along with full league & fixture management there are over 15000 users registered on the system with over 1400 leagues being managed online through the platform
The final part of the work we did for Sport for All Centres was to integrate the data that Spawtz makes available for Fixtures, Results and League data into the SFAC website, optimised for mobile use to help players and team managers view the season ahead and team performance.
